Armando Tamagnini's studio was the first in Italy to become a provider to the dark ride industry and became known as "The Monster Factory". Most of the Italian builders of these rides turned to Park Style to provide figures and displays for use inside their rides and for decoration of the facades, with Pinfari being the largest volume purchaser. We immediately recognized the connection of the catalog images with the figures we had been seeing over the years and whose origin we hadn't known until now. I'm sure many readers will recognize these creations as well.

Tamagnini's stunt figures of Dracula, the ape, the wide-eyed gorilla head, witch, devil and others were all cast in fiberglass, making them weatherproof for use inside or out. The basic figures appeared in many incarnations, dressed, positioned and painted in different character styles to suit various design purposes.

Below: Top row: catalog images showing the Witch, a somewhat translucent woman and the chest-thumping ape.
Bottom row: we see two of their real-life counterparts, both part of Flying Witch, Rye, NY. This witch is on the outer facade, while another lives inside the ride.
Below: Top row: catalog images show figures that are listed as: La Mummia, Sexi-Death and The Count.
Bottom row: First three figures in Flying Witch, Rye, NY.
Bottom right:We found another Count in Morey's Piers workshop in Wildwood, NJ.
This was the only surviving original stunt from their Dante's Inferno ride.
